Comparison showing the price of electricity on 1 June 2021...

The PVPC tariff (“Precio Voluntario para el Pequeño Consumidor”) changed drastically on 1 June 2021, making electricity slightly cheaper during the nights, but making it much more expensive during peak hours during day-time.

The peak hours on the Spanish mainland are roughly between 8.30 am - 2.00 pm and 5.00 pm - 10.00 pm on 1 June 2021. The price has increased with approx. 60% during these hours in comparison with the previous day, making it much more expensive to run air-conditions and other electrical appliances.

It's a dreadful government that forces people to have a double tariff, regardless if it suits them or not. Earlier people had the choice to choose between double and single tariff.

Socialism, and other totalitarian ideologies, have always been about reducing peoples choices and force their ideas up on the people. These politicians regard themselves as more clever then the people.

The price of electricity is constantly going up and sets new All-Time-High almost every day. This is before lots of people have bought electric cars that will require lots of electricity.

The conditions changed again on 16 September. Instead of forcing people to have a double tariff, people were from this date forced to have a single tariff.

Getting worse and worse!

Another all time high where the price of electricity is been pushed higher and higher. Two barriers have been broken the same day when the minimum price > 30 cents per kWh and the maximum price > 40 cents per kWh.
