Roman Abramovich's jet among 100 planes grounded by US

Nearly 100 planes with ties to Russia have been effectively grounded by the US government, including one owned by billionaire Roman Abramovich.

The US Commerce Department has said the planes are in contravention of US sanctions on Russia.

Providing service to these aircraft anywhere in the world - including inside Russia - may lead to heavy fines and potential jail time, it says.

The list includes aircraft operated by Russian airlines, including Aeroflot.

While most are Boeing aircraft, a Gulfstream private jet owned by Mr Abramovich - the current owner of Chelsea football club - is also included.

The Russian was among seven oligarchs sanctioned by the UK government earlier this month in response to the Ukraine war.

Mr Abramovich, 55, is alleged to have strong ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin, which he has denied.

In a statement, the department said any refuelling, maintenance or repair work of any of the listed aircraft - as well as the provision of spare parts - violates US export controls.

There was much hope when he was elected that the inherent corruption would come to an end. The leadership was either the puppet of Russia or the United States and both sides had an interest in playing. The people did not share this entrenched idea that the Donbas had to remain Ukrainian. There was a deep resentment toward Russia from the days of Stalin who starved Ukraine to pretend Communism was succeeding. I suggest you watch the film, Mr. Jones.

Most Ukrainian were raised and knew how to speak Russian as well as Ukrainian. When Yanukovich became President, he was corrupt and his sons were running protection rackets. But he was Russian ethnically and could only speak Ukrainian with an accent. He pushed the language law to make the official language both Russian and Ukrainian. Zelensky push the opposite view and passed the Ukrainian ONLY law which was a slap in the face to Donbas.

Zelensky is a puppet. He has done NOTHING to avoid war. All he has done is poke the bear intentionally. He knew well that the Belgrade Agreement required Ukraine was to remain neutral. It gave up its nuclear weapons when it was the 3rd most powerful nuclear power for it had more nukes than even China. The deal was that it would neither join NATO and for the first time, it would become an independent nation free of Russia. By pushing to join NATO Zelensky KNEW that it was breaking the Belgrade agreement of 1991 and he was refusing to allow the Donbas to vote to seek its own independence since that region was Russian. So Zelensky was playing empire claiming to hold that territory which was created by Kruchev in the first place along with Crimea which was always Russian territory.

Clearly, Zelensky has not done what he was elected for and he has constantly been trying to create World War III demanding NATO action. He is more concerned about his image than his people.

Authorities searched Kolomoisky’s TV studio as part of Honcharuk leak case in 2020

The Security Service of Ukraine on Feb. 5 searched the premises of television channel 1+1 as part of an investigation into a leak of an audio recording of Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk’s conversations.

The recording was published on Jan. 15 and was an apparent attempt to discredit Honcharuk and poison President Volodymyr Zelensky’s opinion of him.

The developments appear to be part of a conflict between Zelensky and oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky, who owns the channel.

After the recording of Honcharuk’s conversations with ministers and other top officials was leaked anonymously online, Zelensky ordered the law enforcement to find out who was illegally eavesdropping on the prime minister.

On Jan. 31, ZN.ua news site reported, citing their own sources, that the State Security Service (SBU) discovered that the recording was edited on a computer that belongs to “a journalist of an investigative program on one of Ukraine’s leading TV channels” but is reportedly hesitant to act on this information because of political consequences.

The report found confirmation on Feb. 5, when SBU searched on of the office of the 1+1 TV channel. The office that was searched produces several shows, including one by Oleksandr Dubinsky, a lawmaker and a former journalist at 1+1. Although Dubinsky is a member of Zelensky’s Servant of the People party, he is a vocal critic of Honcharuk.

Honcharuk case

The scandalous recording featured the prime minister saying that “Zelensky had a very primitive understanding of the economy” during a Dec. 16 meeting with Cabinet ministers and officials from the the National Bank of Ukraine.

Zelensky on Jan. 17 demanded that law enforcers investigate the leak within two weeks.

Earlier the same day, Honcharuk filed to Zelensky a letter of resignation. It appeared to be a gesture to show loyalty since, according to the law, a prime minister should tender resignation to the parliament rather than the president.

However, Zelensky did not accept Honcharuk’s resignation.

Kolomoisky saga

The searches at billionaire oligarch Kolomoisky’s 1+1 channel looked surprising given that Kolomoisky backed Zelensky’s presidential campaign in March and April. Moreover, Zelensky’s Kvartal 95 comedy show airs on 1+1.

However, in recent months Kolomoisky and his allies, including 1+1’s former journalist Dubinsky, have become more critical of Zelensky and his government. Specifically, they have lambasted Honcharuk and some other Zelensky allies.

The laptop from hell

Ihor Kolomoisky is the Oligarch who funded Zelensky and put him in a position to be president. However, this is the very same Kolomoisky who had a “controlling interest” in Burisma Holdings, that employed Hunter Biden as a board member for a widely reported salary of $50,000 per month.

Kolomoisky pushed hard for compensation for the nationalization of PrivatBank – which he co-owned until 2016 when the government took control of it due to the $5.6 billion hole in its balance sheet. But the real economic payback appeared to occur elsewhere, as the government showered debt and delivery favors on the Kolomoisky-controlled Ukrnafta and Centrenergo. The government opened corruption cases but seemed to concentrate on Kolomoisky’s enemies from the National Bank of Ukraine and the interlinked leadership of the Investment Capital of Ukraine, often dubbed “[Petro] Poroshenko’s bank”, after the former president.

Here we have Hunter Biden taking money from Kolomoisky who just so happens to be the backer of Zelensky. Biden then hands Zelensky $13.6 billion in aid to fight off the evil Putin. I seriously doubt that money will go to aid Ukrainians.

Hunter Biden met with Joe dozens of times directly after foreign business meetings

Hunter Biden met with his father at least 30 times in “days or even minutes” after attending high-profile overseas business meetings while Joe Biden was serving as the vice president, according to the New York Post.

Most of the meetings, details of which were obtained from Hunter’s discarded laptop, included Eric Schwerin, a business partner of the current president’s son.

Russia warns of 'false flag' attack on US diplomats

The Russian military claims it has uncovered a plot by Ukrainian hard-line nationalist groups to target diplomatic facilities of the US and other Western nations in the Ukrainian city of Lviv. The alleged discovery was announced by Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov during a media briefing on Saturday.

Washington and many other Western states moved embassy staff to Lviv shortly before Russia launched its military attack, last month. The city, regarded as a hotbed of Ukrainian nationalism, is about 500km from the capital, Kiev, and just 50km from the Polish border.

The information on the supposed plot was provided by an officer from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), who Moscow says voluntary surrendered to Russian forces.

“The officer was directly involved in organizing and training of sabotage and terrorist groups to work in areas liberated from nationalists,” the official stated.

The officer gave the Russian military a list of SBU agents and other individuals involved in such activities, providing information on the alleged plot to target diplomatic facilities in the west of the country, Konashenkov claimed.

“The officer spoke… about [planned] terrorist acts in Lvov [the city's Russian-language name] against employees and facilities of the diplomatic missions maintained by the US and other Western nations. I’d like to stress that the Kiev regime is fully aware of the plans harbored by the nationalists, but is doing nothing to prevent them,” Konashenkov stated.

The ultimate goal of the alleged attacks is to blame Moscow for them, using the incidents as leverage to push the NATO countries into providing more weaponry and establishing a long-demanded “no-fly zone” over the country, the official claimed.
