Pot-banging Shanghai residents protest over strict lockdown measures

Residents have been banging pans and shouting from windows of their homes in protest against the government-enforced lockdown in Shanghai, China. The Chinese government has been pursuing a zero-Covid strategy since the beginning of the pandemic, with the aim of keeping the country entirely Covid free. Criticism of the government is rare in China, but some residents living in strict lockdown have said they have struggled to access food supplies. Others have been temporarily evacuated from their homes so they can be disinfected.

Justin Trudeau is sanctioning 'medical violence'

Critics have argued Canada's euthanasia's laws are too broad, after a disabled woman who couldn't access affordable housing to ease her chronic health condition was allowed to end her life.

The case was first published by Canada's CTV News and has attracted condemnation from many Canadians.

Author and ethicist Charlie Camosy told Fox News Justin Trudeau's government is endorsing "medical violence."

Trudeau points to COVID "anxiety" after his UN speech sparks "Great Reset" conspiracy

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Friday was asked about his speech he made before the United Nations in September that talked about the pandemic and a "great reset" which sparked conspiracy theories online and with Conservative MPs, pointing to "anxiety" from the coronavirus pandemic as the culprit.

Trudeau appeared as part of a United Nations video conference back in September where he discussed Canada’s planned contribution to helping the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the global coronavirus pandemic hit, Trudeau said he and other leaders met to discuss the “fundamental gaps and inequities” both within and between our societies.

The “pandemic provided an opportunity for a reset,” and to “re-imagine economic systems,” Trudeau said during the video conference in September.

Resentment and anger will build when taxpayers have fewer human rights than the refugees they are paying to save.

Boris Johnson facing questions after photos emerge

Boris Johnson is facing fresh questions after photos show the prime minister drinking at a party during a Covid lockdown.

The pictures, released by ITV News, are believed to show the prime minister at a leaving party on 13 November 2020.

Asked in Parliament in December whether the gathering had taken place, Mr Johnson denied it had and said all rules were followed.

The Metropolitan Police are also facing calls to explain why he was not fined.

The BBC has been told that at least one person who attended the event was fined, but the PM was not.
