Policía Nacional y Vigilancia Aduanera de la Agencia Tributaria, in collaboration with the National Crime Agency (NCA) in UK, have dismantled a criminal organization led by a historic British drug trafficker and have intervened more than one and a half ton of hashish.
A total of ten people have been detained in the autonomous city of Ceuta and in the provinces of Cádiz and Málaga.
In the searches carried out, more than 5,800 euros in cash, a simulated pistol, a taser pistol, knives and a drone, in addition to five luxurious vehicles and three boats - one sailing boat and two yachts - have been intervened.
The leader is a British citizen, resident in a luxurious urbanization in Cádiz, who is a former member of the British Royal Navy with extensive nautical knowledge. He has been known for years having a close relationship with international drug traffickers and his links with criminal organizations based in European countries such as the United Kingdom and Ukraine. This man had several companies dedicated to the sale and rental of boats that he used for transporting of drugs. He also created shell companies to laundry money from drug trafficking.
This criminal group has had a high degree of professionalism. The members have adopted strict security measures, which were increased at the time of holding the meetings when criminal activities were planned. These encounters took place in places that were difficult for the police to monitor. Those arrested used private boats, even moving on several occasions during the same day avoiding leaving traces.
