Junta de Andalucía has decided to apply de-escalation in two phases to increase mobility during Christmas and New Year. In the first phase people will be allowed to move between the municipalities and the opening hours for the shops will be extended.
In the second phase people will be allowed to move between the provinces and the curfew will be shortened. The opening hours for the shops, hotels, restaurants and bars will also be extended in the second phase. There will be further ease of the restrictions on the following dates: 24, 25, 31 December and 1 January.
First phase
From 12 December mobility between municipalities, within the same province, will be allowed and the shops can be opened until 9:00 p.m.
Second phase
Between 18 December and 10 January, mobility will be allowed between the provinces, there will be no restrictions of the shops opening hours. The curfew will be from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. The authorized opening hours for Hotels, Restaurants and Bars will be from the morning until 6:00 p.m. and from 8:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m.
Furthermore, between 23 December and 6 January, people will be able to enter and leave Andalusia to visit family members. Family reunions of up to ten people will be allowed on 24, 25, 31 December and 1 January. The curfew on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve will start at 01:30 a.m.
Elderly care homes
Elderly people living in elderly care homes can go and stay with their family between 22 December and 7 January, if they have not shown any symptoms of COVID-19 during the previous 14 days and have had been tested negative 72 hours prior to their departure, or have a positive serological showing that they are immunized.
The duration of the stay in the family home must be exceed five days and be under active surveillance of symptoms. Before returning to the elderly centre, the elderly person must present a negative test that has been done within 48 hours of the return.
Sierra Nevada skiing resort
Sierra Nevada ski resort will open on 18 December.
