It has been a problem for a number of years with potential dangerous dogs within the community where the owners do not comply with the legislation. Both the administration and the president of the community have been informed about the situation long time ago, but they seem to have been avoiding to fulfill their duties to take action to solve the problem.
Besides that potential dangerous dogs must have a muzzle on and be on a lead, the owner also must have a license and a liability insurance that covers up to 175.000 EUR per claim in case of damage caused by the dog. It is important for any community to know that every owner of potential dangerous dogs within the community has a valid license and a liability insurance.
It seems that a drug trafficking network has been established and it is operating from within the community. The leader of the gang appear to be a man who is called “Jefe” among some of his associates and is having a big white potential dangerous dog (Dogo Argentino).
One of “Jefe's” long-time associated “workers” is a younger man having a Pit bull, which is also is a race that is classified as potential dangerous.
Unlawful
The two of them have frequently been seen walking around with their potential dangerous dogs without muzzles on in public spaces.
“Jefe” seems to have a rare illness, since he is blind in periods and walking with a white cane, but in other periods is fully capable to walk without any difficulties without his white cane.
The young man with the Pit bull has registered a complaint in the court of Marbella where he has written that he suffers from a psychiatric illness.
It is required to be physical and mentally fit to be able to obtain licenses to have potential dangerous dogs.
Threats
There is a sentence from 2018 where “Jefe” has been found guilty of threatening a property owner in Block 6.
The young man with the Pit bull has threatened the same property owner in June 2019 and in October 2019. He has been found guilty of the threats in October by the court in Marbella. The sentence has been appealed against and the case is awaiting to come up in the court in Málaga.
