The issue of theft of electricity was brought up by representatives of property owners at the latest community meeting on 13 April 2019, but it was never mentioned in the Minutes (“Acta”). Photo evidence of illegal connection was presented too. The illegal connection to one of the apartments was in place from June 2018 until it was sold and refurbished in the spring of 2021.

It seems it was first in a letter on 25 December 2020 where the Secretary-Administrator mentioned theft of electricity to the property owners, by saying that there are no theft of electricity from neither any neighbours or from the community.

Junta de Andalucía has decided to extend the restriction, e.g. closure of the municipality borders and the curfew, until 10 December. A few changes are introduced for the restaurants and shops selling toys. A big change is that the municipalities of Granada Sur, which includes Costa Tropical, will get out of its total lock-down.

Spain will demand a negative PCR-test from 23 November of all international travellers arriving by air or sea. The PCR-test has to be taken within 72 hours before arriving in Spain from high COVID-19 risk countries.

OBS! TMA (Transcription-Mediated Amplification) and RT-LAMP (Reverse Transcriptase Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification), have been incorporated on 10 December 2020 as accepted diagnostic tests in addition to the PCR-test to enter Spain.

Breaking News: Negativ COVID-19 test is now also required for people arriving to Spain by land from risk areas in France. Exceptions are being made for children under six years old, people living near the border, etc.

Junta de Andalucía has announced new stricter restrictions from Tuesday aiming to slow down the spread of Covid-19. All municipalities in Andalucía will keep their borders close until 23 November. Furthermore the curfew will be extended with two hours. Bars and restaurants and all other non-essential business activity have to close at 6pm.
