Guardia Civil and Policía Nacional have carried out 18 searches, mostly in Marbella. 14 people have been arrested and 12 vehicles and an arsenal of weapons have been seized. This is linked to the intercepted of 1,500 kilograms of cocaine in April 2020, where five people were arrested.
Among the seized weapons are two US military assault rifles (M16A1) that exclusively are for military use.

Policía Nacional has, in a joint operation with the Tax Agency (Agencia Tributaria), borded a sailing boat on 13 June 2021 and arrested its crew members for trafficking of drugs. These criminals belong to the same criminal organization led by a former member of the British Royal Navy who was among those 10 people being arrested in May 2021.
The boarded sailing boat, "Windwhisper", was loaded with nearly 1,000 kilograms of cocaine and it had been sailed from the Caribbean Sea.
